New face in nets for FC United today at Bradford

There will be an unfamiliar face between the posts today at Bradford when FC United visit Bradford Park Avenue to play their next Vanarama National League North fixture.

Ryan Schofield has joined the club on a seven day emergency loan from Huddersfield Town to cover for injured Dave Carnell and Ashley Frith. The 17 year-old recently made his debut for England’s Under-18 side.

FC United thank Huddersfield Town AFC for their help in this matter, following injuries to FC United’s two registered goalkeepers.

Ryan follows in the footsteps of Ed Wilczynski who played three matches for FC United in December 2013 when also on loan from Huddersfield Town. Ed is currently playing at Darlington and we may well meet up with him again on Easter Monday.
