Changes to the board of FC United

Board members Jim Brunt and Adam Wood have stepped down this week due to time commitments.

Jim, who has been elected to the board twice since initially standing at the EGM in June 2016, has said; "this is something that I’ve been thinking about for a while as it has been a real struggle for me to balance FC with work and personal commitments.

Thanks to all those who’ve helped me and the club in that time, in particular those who are freely giving their time and sometimes more, but also the staff. Lastly, I’d like to thank all my colleagues on the Board, both past and present, hopefully they can drive us on to better successes in the future."

Adam, who served on the board since his election at October’s 2016 AGM, said; "this decision has been a long time in the making and not one I make lightly.

I start a new job after Easter which, coupled with the stresses and joys of a young family, mean that I will have even less time to commit. Thank you to those who have supported me over the last 18 months and I wish you all the very best in ensuring the long term stability of our football club."

We’d like to send our sincerest thanks to both Jim and Adam for the time, effort and commitment they have put into the club. We wish them all the best for the future and look forward to seeing them at future games as long-standing fans of the club.
